Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies and browser storage used on https://iloveimg.pro, why they exist, and how you control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which covers the wider question of what personal data we handle and why.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store, and that the browser sends back with later requests to that site or to the company that set it.
That is the whole mechanism. Cookies cannot run programs, they cannot read other files on your device, and they cannot see anything you have not given the site access to.
What this site stores, and why
iLoveIMG is a free online toolkit of 259 tools. The tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript, WebAssembly and the Canvas API. Your files are read and re-encoded locally, on your own machine. They are uploaded only for the 44 office conversions, which delete the copy the moment they finish, which is why we need far less browser storage than most sites of this size. There is no account to keep you signed in, no shopping cart, and no visitor profile to build.
The table below lists everything the site uses. If something is not in this table, this site is not setting it.
| Category | What it is | Who sets it | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security and delivery cookies. Cloudflare uses them to tell apart real visitors from automated traffic, to filter abuse, and to keep the site reachable. They carry no advertising purpose and no profile of your browsing. | Cloudflare, on our behalf | Always on. These cannot be switched off through our banner because the site cannot be served safely without them. |
| Advertising | Google AdSense, publisher ID pub-8928122502589555, and its advertising partners use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads, cap how often you see the same ad, and measure how ads perform. Google cookies such as __gads and __gpi fall in this category. |
Google and third-party vendors | Off until you agree. Advertising cookies stay unset while your choice is denied. |
| Analytics | None. We have no analytics product installed on this site. There is no Google Analytics, no heatmap recorder, no session replay tool and no visitor counter. | Nobody | Not set at all. |
| Preferences | Your consent choice. We keep the record of what you allowed or refused, and when, so we do not have to ask you on every page. | iLoveIMG, in your browser’s localStorage | Stored only after you make a choice. Not a cookie. |
Some of the advertising cookies above are third-party cookies. They are set in your browser by Google rather than by us, and Google’s own privacy policy governs how Google uses them. What we control is whether they are allowed to appear in the first place, and they are not allowed until you say so.
Cookies and localStorage: why your consent record is not a cookie
The consent record lives in your browser’s localStorage under the key z11_consent_v1. We chose that deliberately, for two practical reasons.
The first is that localStorage is not transmitted. Data in localStorage stays on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else with your page requests, so a consent preference sitting there cannot leak into a network log. The second is lifespan. Cookies expire on a schedule set by whoever created them, and a preference that quietly disappears after a few months is a poor record of a decision you made. localStorage persists until you remove it, so your choice keeps standing until you change it.
The trade-off is that you clear it the same way you clear cookies, through your browser’s site data controls. Clearing site data for iloveimg.pro removes the record, and the consent banner will ask you again on your next visit. That is expected behaviour, not a fault.
How to change or withdraw your consent
You can change your mind at any time, as often as you like, and refusing advertising cookies does not restrict any tool on the site. All 259 remain open to you either way.
- Use the Cookie settings button on this site. It reopens the consent panel, where you can switch advertising cookies on or off. Your new choice takes effect immediately and replaces the old one in localStorage.
- Use your browser’s own controls. Every current browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them for a single site, or block third-party cookies entirely. Blocking third-party cookies will stop advertising cookies from being set.
- Opt out of personalised advertising from Google at https://adssettings.google.com.
- Opt out of many participating advertising vendors at once through https://www.aboutads.info/choices/.
- If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, https://www.youronlinechoices.com/ covers a further set of vendors.
Withdrawing consent stops new advertising cookies from being set and stops the ad requests that rely on them. It does not remove cookies that were already placed in your browser before you withdrew. Delete those through your browser settings if you want them gone.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers can send a Do Not Track header, and some send a Global Privacy Control signal. Support for both is uneven, and there is still no settled standard for how a site must respond to Do Not Track. We do not attempt to detect or act on either signal, and we would rather say that plainly than imply a behaviour we do not have.
What we rely on instead is the default. Advertising and analytics cookies start out denied under Google Consent Mode v2, so a visitor who ignores the banner or closes it without choosing never receives an advertising cookie. Nothing is set by silence. If you want to make your position explicit in a way the site records, use the Cookie settings button and choose.
How long cookies last
Strictly necessary security cookies are the short-lived kind. They are session cookies or near-session cookies, created when your browser starts talking to the site and cleared shortly afterwards, because their only job is to get you through the current connection safely.
Advertising cookies set by Google generally last longer, from a few weeks to a couple of years depending on the cookie, since measuring ad performance over time depends on remembering an earlier visit. Your consent record in localStorage has no expiry date. It stays until you withdraw consent, change your choice, or clear your browser’s site data.
